About the Author

Laura Thompson, Ph.D., is Director and Founder of the Southern California Institute of Clinical Nutrition in Carlsbad, California. A certified Naturopathic Endocrinologist, she is a leading authority in the fields of brain, hormone, and family nutrition.

Dr. Thompson received a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Human Behavior from Ryokan College in Los Angeles, studied naturopathy with Dr. Bernard Jensen, and culinary arts at the Paris American Academy in Paris, France.
